I only had 3 miles to do today. I had to do it at the gym so I decided to do HILLS. Nothing crazy. Going up an incline every 0.25 miles up to 5. On the way down I increased the speed by 10% every 0.25 miles. That made me turn a nice shade of burgundy.
Tomorrow is speedwork and I got tempo run. I am not sure what pace I should do this at. I have 30 min tempo. Instructions are 10-15 min easy, build to 10-20 min - 5-10 min easy. The 10-20 at race pace. 5k? 10k? the fastest of the 2? Is this supposed to be as hard as the intervals? I am assuming yes. So I should go at 5k pace then..I know it has to be a pace I could keep for an hour with effort.
Will's teacher informed me that he got an invite from the Principal to take the 2nd grade math test from the State. He is in 1st grade but in a 1-2 combo class with 4 other 1st graders. He is the only 1st grader who will take that test. This is a good day for mommy Caro. I am so proud of him it is not even funny. To pass they have to get 100% (no pressure right?). If they get that they get to go to a special lunch with the Principal. Test is Friday. We are ready. We? I mean HE is ready!!!

Ha ha the rain thing is funny! Where I live in Southern Mississippi we run in the rain every other day in the summer. I also loved that post about your kids and Keith, he is also one of my favorite singers. Smart kids!
Welcome to California! lol yeah, rain really throws people off... so irritating! I think you might want to find a website that can help you figure out the pacing stuff for your training. I use an Automated Training Program... lol... I've written about it... But I know you can just find some pretty easy pacing charts. Do you want me to see if I can find anything for you? AWESOME about your boy! That is such a proud mommy moment!

Did you google John Farnham? I am 26, went to his first concert 18 years ago, and still have a secret crush on the old guy :)
And on the rain, we've had 2 flash floods in the last two weeks. Like, DROWNED MY CAR kind of flash floods. Not just rain...
Do people realised it's just water? Until it comes in my front door, that is :)
