GIVEAWAY!

Is it hot enough where you are?
Here we are in a permanent oven state.  I hate it.  I cannot wait for summer to be OVER.
I had to go to the gym this morning and it is a real shame because the boys are at VBS every morning this week.

So time for a NUUN Giveaway!
If you come and visit here often you know I will run Hood to Coast relay in August with the NUNN team.  You also know that I have many GI issues.  I have them all the time not just while running.

The list of things I cannot eat or drink is endless.  It makes finding fuel for long runs very hard.  I wrote several posts in the past about my quest to finding fuel for my LR and my half marathons.  I have tried many products and most of them have not worked for me.

NUUN is one that does work.  It works before and after runs not always during though but I take what I can get.  I drink NUUN every day these days.  I get dehydrated VERY easily and I have a hard time dealing with this during my races.  If you read my race reports you know I am not kidding..I mean look...

I know, very lady like right?
Why does NUUN work for me?
I think a lot has to do with the taste...it is very light and also NUUN has no sugar, no high-fructose corn syrup, no artificial flavors or colors.
My stomach can handle that.  It cannot handle anything like Gatorade.
Each tube of NUNN has 12 tablets.
Each tablet makes 16 oz. of NUNN, and contains 360 mg Sodium, 100 mg Potassium, 25 mg Magnesium and13 mg Calcium.

They offer several flavors you can see them all here.  Unfortunately, I cannot drink all of them.  Some don't work and cause me to get acid reflux but I can drink the fruit punch and orange flavors.  Fruit punch is the one that has never caused any problem so I always have that flavor in the pantry!

Want to try some NUUN?
This is what you can win

I'm a follower!! (Also on a side note, Blogger has been defaulting my font to be highlighted in white too. I don't get, but it's annoying. You can erase the HTML code, but otherwise I guess everything is going to be highlighted for some reason!!)

Favorite Olympic events are obviously Track and Field, but also gymnastics! Watched both Olympic trials!

I am a follower. I haven't quite figured out what nutrition works for me either and I keep meaning to try Nuun as my drink, but haven't. (I just ordered a tube of Kona Kola and whoa I can't do the whole soda flavored thing on a run, so that one is out.)

My favourite olympic event is all of them. Seriously...I know it sounds like I'm copping out and not choosing but I love everything about the olympics. But I guess I love the running and swimming events the most.

As for books - I'm doing a lot of reading for school, so my current read is called "Well and Good" which is case studies in bioethics...sounds riveting doesn't it?

I follow, and have the same white highlight issue with Blogger. I search the html for span and delete anything that is between the <>, including the <>. It's near the beginning of each highlighted paragraph. There will also be a /span to delete at the end of the paragraphs (including <>).

And my favorite Olympic event is men's figure skating. But if we're going summer, I think the marathon has sucked me in, although I do love the excitement of the 5000 m as well. Actually I'm so darn excited for all of it I could squeal out loud!

I'm reading something called "The Key to Rebecca", a WWii spy novel. Apparently it was a best seller, but I just started it, so it might suck. I just finished some Edith Wharton. She never gets old.

Winter Olympics has to be hockey...of course ;)

Summer I love to watch Waterpolo because I used to play in University & I get a kick out of seeing what is going on underwater with the underwater camera shots! I also enjoy rowing & swimming. I have never been a big fan of track & field but since I've started running in the last 3 years I am looking forward to watching some of the distance events with my boys.

I admit it....I just motored through the 50 shades books while sitting by the lake on vacation....

However, I am also making my way through "Don't Breathe a Word" by Jennifer McMahon....very good story so far!

I am a follower. I love to watch gymnastics and figure skating at the olympics. The book I am currently reading is The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan. I love this series of books about Percy Jackson.

I follow your blog!

I LOVE swimming! I had a hard time not shouting at the TV while on the treadmill at the gym while the trials were on. I'm putting my $ (if I had any!) on Ryan Lochte this year.

Sadly, I have not been to the library in a very, very long time. I love Roddy Doyle books, his writing style and honestly are refreshing.
