Home

I have done my last run before the Hollywood Half Marathon.
Tomorrow I rest and Saturday is race day.
This course is downhill - California Flat - and Uphill.
So my plan is to bank time.  That's right, no negative splits plan for this one.
It ends with a big hill so I know for sure my fastest mile will not be #13.
I am looking forward to this one.  I think it will be fun running on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!!!  Plus well I am hoping to have a running buddy like maybe him:

A fellow Canadian..that would be just perfect.
This made me laugh:  A special section in the final instructions for the race:

* Celebrity Etiquette

Just remember, celebrities are there for the same reason you are; to run. Please don't expect them to stop for a picture or autograph while running. Use discretion when the time is right and remember to be polite. Handshakes are better than hugs after a run.

Seriously....

We are on high pollen "alert" here according to the weather channel.  I feel it.
It sucks.  I am so plugged.  My allergies don't cause me to have sneezing or runny nose.  It is the complete opposite.  No drainage at all.
So thank God for this:

Thank you for all the really nice comments on my last post for my Nuun Hood to Coast Application Video.  You can see it here if you missed hearing me talk in French and hear my very mild accent when I speak English.

Thank you so much for those of you who also left a comment on the Nuun Facebook page.  Although it is not a voting contest I can use all the help I can get I think!!!

Last night I made a huge purchase...an over $2500 kind of purchase.....(no I did not buy Chris Daughtry)

Can you guess what I bought?

June 20th.....it's a date!

I don't know if my husband comes here to read my posts...but just in case:
Thank you Bill.
For wanting to go to my home again.
For understanding that I am still homesick even after 12 yrs.
It means everything to me.

What a beautiful place to go home to.. I think that if I ever had to move I would ever be homesick until the day I died.

So YAY for you getting to go visit your home!

Those race instructions are pretty funny, I say give them all a hug!

Good luck with your race!

Good luck to you on Saturday. I bet you are so happy to be going home!! I didn't see the celebrity etiquette but then again I didn't really read my race instructions :(
Pretty funny though!

I finally watched your video and it's great. They would be idiots not to pick you--you would be an asset in any van for 24 hours. And I'm so glad I get to meet you soon! :^)

Good luck this weekend in the race (beat as many celebs as you want!) and I'm very excited for your trip home. I think your hometown is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been--I went when I was 16 and thought I had landed in a fairy tale.

Ok, so no stalking any celebrities and asking for autographs and pictures during your race - check.

Run strong and have a great time - check.

You got this girl. Bank some time and run a great race!!!

Glad you're getting a trip home soon :).

Good luck with the race. Hope your sinuses let up.

How awesome to get a trip home. Your sweet note to your husband made me smile.

I haven't had a chance to watch your video. Can't seem to get to a real computer to do so. But, I will. I so hope you get picked. I'm cheering for you.

Handshakes instead of hugs? That's how germs get passed!

Good luck with your race.

Also, it is very cool that they advise how to deal with racing celebs. I soooo often have the problem of people just wanting to take pictures with me and give me unsolicited hugs.

Oh, how wonderful to go back home!
Can't wait to hear your race report?
Did you behave a refrain from hugging the hoards of celebrities out there? ;)
