New favorite running skirt

Before I get to the skirt....

Happy Father's Day to all the dads reading this!

Running...
So I had to take a day off today. A non scheduled rest day.  This sucks big time.
I ended the week with just 23 miles.
I have had pain in my groin for 3 weeks now.  I ran my last half marathon with this pain.  I remember that I felt the pain with each step.  .
I ice it.  I stretch it.  I even tried to foam roll it, that was not a great success..not the easiest body part to roll.  It is not better.

Of course I don't want this to get worst...so I was VERY mature and I rested.  To make sure that I did, I set my alarm for 7:30 am  when it would be too hot to go for a run already!

Groin pain experience anyone?  Advices are welcomed as always.

Ok I found the perfect running skirt.
It has all I was looking for:

1. It is not too short.
2. It has a back pocket WITH zipper.
3. It has no shorties.
4. Best of all it has a DRAWSTRING.
5. I paid $19.97

Cannot beat that.
I ran in it twice.  It stays in place.
It is PERFECT.

Want to see?  Kim I know you want to see it...:)

NIKE Women's Tempo Unlined Running Skirt
It is made with same fabric as their tempo shorts.
I love it!

(No Nike did not pay me for this post...I wish!... and no they did not send this skirt to me, I just wanted to share with all you gals who are still looking for a running skirt they like.)

Got a notice from Blogger telling me I am at max capacity for pictures.  Now I have to delete some if I want to upload new ones.  That means the ones I delete will also be deleted from my posts .   What do you do in that situation?

I paid the big bucks to increase my storage space. I think it was like 5 bucks for a year. You should see a sports PT for this groin pain. I will bet there is an imbalance or weakness that is now showing up. You don't want to deal with chronic injury...deal with it now. I get groin pain along with my hip pain. Mine stems from core and glute weakness. Good luck with it :)

I did want to see your skirt! Are there shorties underneath? My goodness, $19.97 is a great price. I'm so glad you found one that you like.

I love the skirt and the price!
As for the pics, you can (and should) save them as smaller files. Not sure if you're on a mac, but if so,
here’s a great tutorial from CNET that explains how to resize an image in iPhoto. Super Easy. If you are on a PC, google resizing photos. Will take up significantly less space in your storage!

that skirt is super cute! I've gotta look it up!

UGH! I had no idea about the picture limit! BOO! I bet I'm not too far off either… Even worse that it deletes pics from your posts. That's crappy.

Find a sports PT. I had groin pain for months and sports pt told me it was my SI joint. I was embarrassed to see anyone for groin pain. But actually they way she helped fix the SI joint was completely non-embarrassing. I do think finding a dr/pt that runs and does races is important because they know what your goals are. And I don't struggle with the lingering pain anymore.

Ugh on the groin pain! I have a friend struggling with similar pain, but hers hurts NOT while she's running, but after. I hope you figure it out...

LOVE the skirt. What kind of shorts do you wear under? I have been trying to find the perfect, not-too-short shorts...

Cute, cute skirt! I will only but bottoms that come with a roomy back pocket - it's amazing what I can cram into it!
Sorry about the groin pain, wish I had some advice to pass on!

Wanted to say that I loved you hockey post! Am a Detroit and NY Ranger fan, but was in LA during the playoffs, and lots of Cup fever

What do you plan to wear under the skirt?

Regarding pictures limit, one optional solution is: create a new account, add it as a co-author of the blog and use it for posting (just for pictures or for everything). And yes, start uploading small formats...

@ Anonymous: Compression Shorts Nike Pro Combat

thank you for the tip for the pictures!

Cute skirt!!! Need to check into that!

The picture thing is annoying, I switched to wordpress and there is the option to buy more space, not ideal either, but at least you don't have to delete.

I would recommend seeing a doctor regarding your pain. 3 weeks is a long time. If you go now, you might be "fixed" with 1 or 2 visits. Hope you feel better soon!

Good job resting. I hope it gets better quickly. It sounds like it's been nagging for a while.

Yay for finding a good skirt!!

Love the skirt! I'm a big fan of Nike women's running clothing, so much of their line works so well for me. I have 2 pair of their Tempo 2n1 shorts (which are probably from the same line as this skirt?) and they do work well. Great zipper back pocket.

I don't have any groin pain advice, other than - when things hurt, we must all REST. Sometimes for a couple days in a row. I'm dealing with achey calves/shins right now myself and have taken to doing more cross training for a bit to give them time to get better. Lots of swimming! Hope you feel better soon!

Not yet into skirts but I saw your comment above about Nike pro combat - love that stuff!! This skirt is cute too. Haven't gotten the blogger picture limit notice myself. A friend just makes a new blog when she gets hit with it.

I received that same message and deleted some pictures but you have to be careful which ones you delete because they disappear from your blog posts. I am glad you posted this because I was kind of wondering what options are out there. I love the skirt too. Did you get it at the Nike store?

Beautiful skirt.
Yes I had pain into my groin. I had to take it easy for one month, running every other day. It happened 3/4 times after periods of hard training. However, only to run, I use a special kind of slip; I will let you know more about this item by e-mail (with the picture of the slip).
