I don't know her but she has been on my mind since Saturday. I am not the only one like this, I know several of us blogger-runners are thinking about her. I look for updates on the Internet first thing in the morning hoping for THE good news and fearing reading the worst. I have been thinking of her during all my runs this week. I want to believe she is going to return home safe and this nightmare will end for her and her family and friends, for you Beth.
This Sunday I am running a Half Marathon.
I will pin this bib in the back of my shirt.
I hope that she will be found before Sunday and that she will be well and that I will not put this on the back of my shirt.
Are you racing this weekend?
Join me and pin this bib on your back and take Sherry with you for a few miles.
I LOVE this. What a wonderful thing to do. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCaroline, that is a wonderful way to show support for Sherry.
ReplyDeleteI'm still praying.
Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any sweeter, more thoughtful, more awesome..... You amaze & inspire.
ReplyDeleteAwesome.
That is lovely, Caroline. Excellent idea.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was running this weekend, if not for any other reason than for this one! I hope my next run will be a run a joy with good news
ReplyDeleteYour bib is an amazing way to honor Sherry.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I work the weekends, but will do this tomorrow for her.
ReplyDeleteI love this.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Hoping for her safe return before then though...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Caroline!
ReplyDeleteI love this. I too have been thinking and checking and hoping and fearing. What a fabulous way to raise awareness - hoping and praying she finds her way home.
ReplyDeleteAmazing. If i were doing a race this weekend I'd follow suit!!! Great thing to do. Hoping you don't hafta pin it either. She's been so heavy on my mind and heart.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for her, as are many of my runner friends... I have great friends from Butte, MT and it hits close to home for them as well... I'm not running this weekend, but I hope I will be able prepare my bib for NEXT weekend to celebrate her homecoming...
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome. Praying for her safe return.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea. I'm near tears every time I think of Sherry and what she and her family are going though.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Good luck on Sunday! Thinking of you Sherry and your family.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! I've been thinking about her a lot lately, too. Good luck on your race this weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo Cool!! Great way to spread the word and picture.
ReplyDeleteCaroline, this wonderful I am in I race this Saturday and will wear the same sign.
ReplyDeleteVery good way to honor Sherry and hope for her safe return. You are very thoughtful Caroline. I hope you have a great race this weekend.
ReplyDeleteNice one, that's a great gesture...
ReplyDeleteSherry will be on the Black Knight Army's bibs during the 15km race on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea Caroline! Seriously, it's a wonderful gesture. I hope they find her soon too. It is so scary. I run by myself pretty much 100% of the time. These are always things you worry about, but have to kind of block out of your mind.
ReplyDeleteGood luck this weekend!
What a wonderful, thoughtful thing to do!! I don't have a race coming up but I will dedicate my run tomorrow to her! I'm praying for her safe return.
ReplyDeleteYou are extremely thoughtful. What a great idea and maybe we should do not just for a race but in training as well as you never know.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and thanks!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. I hope she is found safe before then and you do not need to.
ReplyDeleteWhat a kind, generous and touching gesture. I wish I had a race, just so I could join you. I wish even more that you don't have to pin that on your shirt on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea!! Good luck with your race!
ReplyDeleteI do consider all the ideas you've presented for your post. They are very convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are too quick for beginners. May just you please lengthen them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
