Today I add a candle to the cake.I feel lucky that I get to do that.
I used to hate having a January birthday when I was younger.  It is right after the Holidays and people are so done with celebrations.  My birthday always felt like a burden almost..."Now what do you want for your birthday" like it was my fault I was born that day!  Now I am very mature and I am OK with it :).  Social media are great for birthdays!  My Facebook wall is already full of messages!

I feel better at 43 than I did at 30.
I know people say that all the time but I do for real.
I enjoy my life more in my 40s than I ever did.  A lot has to do with my family of course, but also because I made huge changes in my lifestyle in the last 2 years.
Running has changed me for the better.  Many of you read the essay I wrote for the Another Mother Runner's blog already so I won't go in details and repeat myself here but I can say that I got myself back through running.
Do I wish I had made all these changes sooner? Heck yeah!
But I made them at 41 and now I am not looking back!
So bring on 43!
