I am still sick.
I am so tired of it.
I took Mucinex all week. That stuff is powerful. It did help with
chest congestion so that is better at least.
I ran Saturday to Thursday. 6 days in a row, most of them slower than my normal pace. Yesterday was a little better but I don't feel ready for a race. I am going to run it for sure but I might not "race" it. AGAIN (that's what happened at my last race). I know it is not the end of the world but it sucks a little.
My goal race is my next half marathon on June 2nd. That is the one I want to do well at.
I am looking for a race in Quebec while we will be there this summer. So far no luck. I don't get it. We have a really long winter. I mean REALLY long. So there should be plenty of races during the summer months plus I will be there for 2 Holidays!
3 more weeks until these 2 are out of school

Aw, man, I hate to hear that you're still feeling sick. :( Low-pressure race now, though, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI'll be pulling for you June 2. I'll be needing something to distract me from the bike hell I'm in that day. :)
Awe! Hope you feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya about Canada! Hardly any races and even less bling!! I would love to get some more races going up here!!
Did you check runningroom.com There are some races listed on there for Quebec - guess it depends where and when! Good Luck!!
Sorry you are still sick. :(
ReplyDeleteNot fun.
I'm happy you can still run it. :)
Enjoy it.
It'll be a great long practice run for your June 1/2. :)
Very wise! Yes, take is easy. Don't let your competitive spirit get in the way. You need to get better.
ReplyDeleteI hope a race materializes in Quebec, too.
Get well! You know the drill: chicken soup, Vitamin C, hard liquor.
ReplyDeleteUgh - feel better! You are wise to take it easy and try to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteDangit, I can't believe you're still sick! Bleh! Don't push yourself too much if you don't feel good at the start of the race; racing hard when you're sick and just prolong the illness....and we don't want that! Good luck and have a blast!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOOH no, feel better soon :(
ReplyDeleteLast time I raced when I was sick (Richmond Marathon), it was missserable, so I avoid it at all costs!!
Ugh! Hope you kick being sick and soon! I am sending healthy thoughts your way.
ReplyDeleteThat IS a little odd. I think there are a decent number around Montreal in the summer but maybe not Quebec...I hope you find one!
ReplyDeleteI hope the sick 10K goes at least reasonably well. Good luck!
Don't they say "In the chest, take a rest"? Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteDarn those colds but best to rest!!
ReplyDeleteI am genuinely surprised that there were no spring races out there - keep digging!
I hope you feel better soon!
